Image and Movement
In her solo TanzTanz, Jenny Beyer takes a variety of images from different historical and cultural contexts and uses her body to turn them into a living collage made of poses, gestures and movements.
Jenny Beyer created TanzTanz in 2007 during her residency at K3|Tanzplan Hamburg as an initial examination of the use of visual media in choreography. The full-length duet Tableau Doublé, which premiered in December of 2007, is a continuation of this investigation.
