DEAR COMPANIONS OF THE OPEN STUDIOS,
On Friday, October 17, from 6–8 pm, we warmly invite you to the Open Studio at Kulturhaus Eidelstedt, marking the conclusion of Eng Kai Er’s residency!
We are delighted to continue our residency program within the framework of our project SLiD*. From October 6–17, choreographer and performer Eng Kai Er, together with Jana Mahn, Melanie Sandrock, and Jan Kampmann, will be working at Kulturhaus Eidelstedt on the theme of wheelchair partnering. Wheelchairs and other objects (e.g. sticks, ropes) will serve as connecting elements between wheelchair dancers. Videos from related fields such as para dance sport, wheelchair martial arts, and wheelchair rugby will provide inspiration for exploring how physical contact between people in wheelchairs can be shaped.
The residency will conclude with the Open Studio on October 17, from 6–8 pm at Kulturhaus Eidelstedt.
