Dear companions of the OPEN STUDIOS,

On Wednesday, January 7, from 6–8 pm, we warmly invite you to the first OPEN STUDIO of the year at Studio Alte Post!

This Open Studio will focus on my upcoming piece BACK TO ALI, which will premiere at Kampnagel on March 25, 2026.
BACK TO ALI is a dance solo about my grandfather Walter “Ali” Beyer, who was active in the resistance against National Socialism. The project connects personal memory with political research and explores how a family history travels through the body of a granddaughter and performer. My body becomes a surface of remembrance: I combine biographical investigation with the question of what his story means to me today – and to our time.

On January 7, musician Jetzmann, dramaturg Anne Kersting, and video technician and artist Malwine Mangold-Volk will join me in shaping the Open Studio. The focus will be on the potential role of video projection within the piece.
