Dear companions of the OPEN STUDIOS,
On Monday, May 5, from 6-8 pm, we would like to invite you to the OPEN STUDIO at Kampnagel!
Six students of the master's program Contemporary Dance Eductaion (CoDE) will visit us: Yonit Ben-Yehuda, Maria Alejandra Ojeda Mejia, Sofia Seta, Juan Benito Torres, Melissa Ugolini, Mira Urbassek. They will question various dance techniques and their collective practice and possible community aspects and are looking forward to exchanging ideas and moving together with you. Ingo Diehl and Susanne Triebel, who run the study programme, will also be there.
The MA Contemporary Dance Education MA CoDE at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK) is aimed at professional and experienced dancers, performers and choreographers who wish to further explore the foundations of their work. The course focuses on the individual interests of the students, helps them to develop these and focuses on artistic and academic/reflective processes. The English-language full-time course aims to develop skills for the development and communication of current mediation approaches in dance.
The visit to Ma CoDE follows on from a collaboration in 2020, during which Jenny trialled pandemic and digital open studios together with the students at the time. This was an important contribution to the process of the piece DEUX, which was performed as a perfornative Zoom conference in 2021.
Looking forward to seeing you!
